I accept speaking engagements willingly and enthusiastically!
I have addressed high school, college, and university campuses about the Emmett Till case in Florida, Indiana, New York, Missouri, Mississippi, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and elsewhere in the United States, as well as England . I am highly qualified to speak about any aspect of it. I have been the keynote speaker at several university programs during Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. birthday celebrations in the month of January, and during Black History Month in February.
I just recently led a tour group hosted by civil rights legend and NAACP Chairman Emeritus Julian Bond for a half day, seeing the sites related to the Till case. In March 2013, Mr. Bond told a reporter for the Greenwood Commonwealth:
“Devery Anderson knows more about Emmett Till than anybody. He watched a TV documentary and fell in love with the story, and he’s spent 16 years learning, reading, and writing about Emmett Till.”
